NEW YEAR, NU YOU: THE HIGH VIBE DIET

WARNING: this is not a new year diet in the traditional sense (as if you’d expect that from us). Because to get the relationship with food (and the body) you want, you have to change the way you think about eating altogether. Like, on a molecular level. This means accepting that only Love will truly nourish you, says Jennifer Kass, while Jenny Sansouci introduces the top ranking foods on her Healthy Crush Vibe Meter. So, who wants to get HIGH?

FOOD: WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT? by Jennifer Kass.

Before I made the spiritual connection with food, what to put in my mouth on a daily basis was a mundane conversation. But many times food is the beginning of an individual’s spiritual transformation. For me, this was accompanied by a political twist that impassioned me to pioneer a new higher way of eating and creating health.

Discovering that the food industry is a profit-driven, as opposed to human-driven, corporation, coincided with me reaching a new understanding of the metaphysical truth that everything is energy and that only Love is real. And that’s when food – the conversation about what we eat and why we eat it – got really interesting.

Many of us have awakened to the fact that everything is energy, and even science is catching up with this vibrational understanding of our reality. When we then look at the energetics of food, we begin to see why some food is “good” for us and some food is “bad” for us in a different light. More simply put, it becomes easier to understand why real food, as opposed to processed junk food, best serves us.

Working with the understanding that it’s the quality of our energy and vibration that manifests our physical experience, we begin to see how what we think and eat affects every cell in our body, bringing us either miraculous healing or struggles with disease.

If we then acknowledge that Love is the highest, purest vibration, and that fear is the lowest, beginning to move away from fear and back to the natural state of love, health, and happiness that is our divine birth right, looks a lot like beginning to choose the thoughts, actions, and, yes, foods, that create the highest vibrations within us.

When we align our thoughts and intentions with Love, we automatically raise our vibration. And the same goes for food – when we’re eating foods that are fresh, clean and pure, we’re eating the highest vibration foods, which in turn affect our own energy. For example, dark leafy greens are the highest vibration foods, embodying pure Love energy.

More greens anyone?

How does this work? Unlike a piece of candy that consists of chemicals and is produced in a factory, greens grow in the sunshine and are made of chlorophyll – the molecule that’s responsible for facilitating the miracle of photosynthesis, the process that converts sunlight energy, water and carbon dioxide into our primary source of fuel – glucose. Without plants there would be no life.

Green is also the color of the heart chakra – the healing color of unconditional love. Seek to understand this fully, and you’ll never look at your green juice the same!

So, to truly shift your feelings about food, it helps to first accept that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. This is a heart-opening shift in itself, and one that begins to align us with the higher vibrations of Love. In response to this awakening, we often find our body’s needs change, and that we naturally crave foods that are aligned with the higher vibrations within us.

This isn’t complicated. Food and diet was never meant to be complex. The truth about eating to feed our spirit and create optimal health is always profoundly simple. AND IT IS THIS: All plant-based foods are high vibration since they are from the earth and so they contain the life-force energy and intelligent design that has the ability to heal our bodies and uplift our spirits.

Accept this, and accept that we truly are what we eat: LOVE.

The best part? When we’re in the vibration of Love, we are automatically attracting and manifesting more Love, well-being and abundance to us in every moment, whether this means the body we want, inspired ideas, better relationships, financial wealth, creative projects or job opportunities. It’s the feeling that manifests the outcome; and when we’re in a space of Love, we are unstoppable.

THE TOP FIVE HIGH VIBE FOODS by Jenny Sansouci.

Over the past few years I’ve found myself describing things as “high vibe,” “medium vibe” or “low vibe” – especially when it comes to foods. Because of that, I decided to create the “Vibe Meter” to share my vibe critiques with my readers at Healthycrush.com. High vibe foods are the ones that are (for most people) health enhancing, and have the most nourishing ingredients. Medium vibe would be foods that are not the absolute best choice, but not the worst either. As for the low vibe foods? For me this means anything full of processed chemicals and junky ingredients, like most packaged snack foods. Obviously, I tend to stay away from low vibe foods as much as humanly possible, as these are the foods that contribute to weakened health and overall vitality. And so the Vibe Meter is my way of helping people make more informed decisions when they put something into their mouth.

Avocados 4ever

AVOCADO Avocado is one of those healthy fats that gets the highest vibe ranking in my world. I’ve been using it a lot lately instead of bananas to thicken up my green smoothies without adding extra sugar. Avocados are also wonder food when it comes to beauty, because they’re packed with vitamin E togive you healthy, glowing skin.

COCONUT OIL Coconut oil is a staple in my kitchen. I use it for everything – I add it to smoothies and soups, use it for baking, making eggs, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Coconut oil is extremely high vibe because it’s anti-bacterial, ant-viral, can help stabilize blood sugar, and more. The medium chain fatty acids in coconut are converted to energy quickly in the body. Basically, a miracle in food form.

SWEET POTATOES Sweet vegetables like winter squash (kabocha is my fave) and sweet potatoes are the most delicious and amazing way to get some natural, grounding sweetness into your life. Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins A & C, beta-carotene and antioxidants. Basically, they’re rock stars of the root veg patch. Just bake them and top them with a little coconut oil or grass-fed butter. So high vibe.

CINNAMON Cinnamon is a super spice. It’s fantastic for stabilizing blood sugar, reducing inflammation in the body, and generally making any dish feel holiday-worthy all year round. It’s a warming spice, so it’s fantastically high vibe during the winter months. Add it to a smoothie with some mint, and you might actually cry with delight.

GARLIC Garlic is nature’s antibiotic! If I’m ever starting to feel sick, I add extra garlic to my life immediately. Garlic contains strong anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and immune-enhancing compounds. Chop up a few cloves and throw them into a simmering soup, add to stir-fry or any savory dish in place of salt. In my opinion, garlic is one of the highest vibe foods in the world. Plus it freaks vampires out.
