Chi-chi London holistic heath centre Triyoga will host rock star chant master Krishna Das in a rare three-day chanting retreat this coming weekend (June 28 – 30). With hours of chanting interspersed with sessions from Anusara yoga mistress Bridget Woods Kramer – to “stretch, ground and prepare the body” – the aim of the “ocean of devotion” urban retreat is to introduce the ancient practise of Kirtan (call-and-response chanting), and it’s mind-blowing bliss-you-out benefits.
But, as we discovered, for somebody who likes to chant for hours on end (sessions over the weekend are between one and three hours long), Krishna himself is a man of few words…
