Awakening (White Rose)

The concept of my book Empress State of Mind, is to teach women to embody various mindstates to utilize the creative resourcefulness of every “She.” The only formula is to play with the energy both internally (Inner World) and externally (Outer World), and then roll like Infinity (sideways figure 8), riding the flow between both.

In this extract, I encourage you to Be Light.

By which I mean; imagine you ARE light, and often.

Because an Empress knows that life can get serious, but that the way to meet those compressed, dark times, is always with light.

:: Inner World practice ::
The art of playing with light internally is an active meditation that clears your energetic field and protects you from any harsh inside or outside influences. This is definitely something to practice on the regular. It’s fun, great play, and comes as naturally as breathing – and is also just as vital. You could think of it as a game of “cosmic cosmetics,” where the light you put on not only makes you more beautiful, but also cleansed, and well-protected.

You can do this anywhere – all you need is your breath, imagination, and focus. I would practice in stillness initially, with eyes closed, but once you get used to it, you can play with this everywhere and with eyes wide open.

So here we go. Close your eyes, relax your body, wiggle out any tension, and then allow some refreshing breaths to settle in. Let your breathing be like magnetic ocean waves, drawing in golden white light with vigor, a gentle pause, and then releasing golden white light with ease. Let the light inundate your entire being – like an effervescent bath, coddling your cells, flowing in and out of the pores of your now luminous skin.

Grace (Blue Morning Glory)

It should feel invigorating, this process. See and feel the white golden light, like milk with honey bubbles, or tingling Champagne. Let it pour down from the heavens. Let it be drawn from the East, the West, the North and the South – and once it’s been plunged into every cell of your being, let it delicately float back out, leaving you with a most beautiful concentrated radiance – very much like the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars.

:: Outer World practice ::
Being light in the outside world only expands your internal practice. It also offers artistic license with rainbow status. Meaning, you now have the entire color spectrum to work with. Just as you saturated your own being with golden white light, you can now utilize your imagination to paint the world with reds, yellows, blues, and all of their combinations, using this light to infuse the world around you with all kinds of feel good energies and healing vibrations.

The practice of using light and color to aid wellbeing (phototherapy and chromotherapy, scientifically) has been utilized for centuries in ancient cultures of Egypt, Greece, China, and India. Color is energy, and this form of energy medicine is most often used to treat and also detect imbalances in the system.

As a general guide: Red warms and energizes, Blue cools and calms, Yellow uplifts and keeps it positive, Orange incites passion and creativity, Green helps things heal and grow, Purple has majestic spiritual tendencies, and White purifies and makes space. Golden light is of course magical, and useful in all situations. Pink is associated with unconditional love, something we can always use more of.

Now, using your imagination, you can send vibrational remedies to people, places and situations in your world that need support and healing. Combine your vision with presence and breath, and let colored light save the day!

Of course, it is no one individual’s sole responsibility to take on the problems of the world, but this is a simple way to tip the scales toward a brighter future by sweetening the air with the color of love, and nourishing the cells and molecules of all beings with the kindness of light.

:: Infinity practice ::
In simply playing with color and being light, you’re automatically infusing the atmosphere with healing energy and uplifting rays. Just like the Sun, each one of us is well able to send happy smiles and glorious vibrations out into the world. Simply put, you’re coloring space and time with dimensions of love.

Lightness of being is a tremendously enjoyable state, where nothing can really stick to you, or weigh you down. It is the embodiment of joy, or bliss, and this is where healing and nourishment thrive – where generosity and abundance live.

Whenever and wherever there is a “tightness,” a smallness, a constriction, a closed door, or a troubled place, let your light shine. Trust the rays. They reach far into time and space, and way beyond the eyes.
