How about a little candle magic to help set your intention for the 11/11 New Moon in Scorpio?
Working with magickal emporium The Unseen, director Christel Chaudet has created this short film for The Numinous, to illustrate the below candle magic spell. Use this spell to usher in protection, serenity, balance, and harmony, along with all your heart desires, at this auspicious 11/11 New Moon in Scorpio.
Needed: one white and one black candle.
Begin with a five-minute meditation to calm and focus your energy.
:: WHITE CANDLE ::
Rub the candle from the tip to the base with oil, while humming and visualizing your New Moon intention. Continue for five minutes.
: BLACK CANDLE ::
Rub the candle from the tip to the base with oil, while humming and visualizing your New Moon intention. Continue for five minutes.
Choose a candle, place it into a holder, and light it.
Create a chant, repeating one word to as many as you like, and behind to repeat your mantra using a monotone, humming voice. (Examples: “money, money, come to me” – “bring love” – “protection surround me, complete serenity”)
When you can’t chant any longer, put the candle out. Repeat the spell the following day (or night).
Watch for the first glimpse that the spell is working, and when you recognize this, light candle and allow it to burn out.

Hey/ I can’t wait to perform this spell tonight- I just have three questions. So – we anoint both candles with oil- what kind of oil is best? Also- we anoint both candles with oil and infuse with intentions- and only choose and burn one? What do we do with the other that we infused ? We don’t burn it too? Third and final question- it says to repeat a mantra and a chant and to behind to repeat a mantra- do you mean begin to repeat a mantra or just kind of hum in a monotone?
