Check out this way cool no makeup beauty tutorial using ALL NATURAL products, by London-based makeup artist Nat Van Zee (and hear how it’s all part of her #SoulProject)

One of the best things about running a site like The Numinous is the emails I get, mainly from women (the whole Material GIRL, Mystical World thing means we mainly get women) who the content and the message resonates so strongly with they feel compelled to reach out.

When I created this site I didn’t even know this was the reason why – but it is actually everything, and here’s what I mean.

When London-based makeup artist Nat Van Zee got in touch last week, with an email titled “Resonance, Intuition and Organic Beauty,” this is what she said:

“Hello Ruby,

I have just watched the video about your Soul Project, and read your article about defining success on the Huffington Post, and just felt real resonance with it. I have been working on myself for the last few years, and reading your favorite quote – “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive” – I thought, YES, that is me, I have come alive :-)

I am in the midst a project setting up a website about the best performing organic and natural beauty products, which I am personally sourcing worldwide. I am using it on shoots, creating tutorials, and filming behind the scenes to create fun and fashion forward content to illustrate you can look great without compromising your health.

The reason I decided to expand into natural and organic cosmetics, is because I discovered that just like our food, what we apply to our skin affects our health and longevity. The food we eat gets filtered by our kidneys and liver, yet what we put on our skin gets straight into our bloodstream. Nearly all mainstream beauty products are packed with preservatives, carcinogens, hormone disruptors and mutagenics (which can potentially alter our DNA).

I am really passionate about this, and want to connect with likeminded people, journalists, celebrities, etc, to create a movement that supports beauty that is good for our body, planet and soul.”

And whenever I get a message like this, it always makes me go…YES SISTER!

Nat’s line about “I have been working on myself for the last few years” is really key to what I’m talking about. As my friend Sarah Durham Wilson, founder of the brilliant Do It Girl, says: “When women heal themselves, they will heal the world” – because being invested in tending to your Karmic wounds is where self-help, healing, and Now Age spirituality meet. This is Dharma in action.

And this is the mission, should you choose to accept it. For those of you already LIVING IT, connect with us on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, share your #SoulProject and wake somebody up today.
