Before you get your ghoul on for Halloween tonight, check out what went down in Ruby’s Mystical Week – and enter the fashionably holistic of Lula and Thorbjørn of HERSELF magazine

Yee-haw, full steam ahead! TF that Mercury phase is over, right? I hope you’ve got some serious dance party plans for Halloween tonight to shake that stagnant energy out. Or perhaps you’re planning a more spiritual Samhain? If that’s more your vibe, here are some ideas.

So with all plates spinning at full speed again, this was the week I finally made the pilgrimage to esoteric book store Catland :: got a lesson in living your dreams and shaping your destiny from rad-ass documentary No Cameras Allowed :: bought my first e-cig to dress as a member of the Guilty Remnant for Halloween tonight (bring it on) :: and began some serious lusting after this cosmic Apollo sweater by Coach (below).

It also gave me a bouncy feeling inside to see that the latest edition of beyond cool fashion magazine HERSELF was themed “the holistic issue.” The message is getting out there, Numis! The brainchild of creative director Lula and art director Thorbjørn Ankerstjerne, the entirely illustrated bi-annual has a totally cult following in the fashion industry – not least because no-body knows if Lula “herself” is a real person or not. If that isn’t another reason to be featuring Lula and Thorbjørn on Halloween RIGHT THERE.

From the Holistic issue: exploring the allegoric language with no other than iconic ingénue Little Red Riding Hood. Confronting the glam and woods in @saintlaurentparis cape and mini dress, @fendioffical

From the Holistic issue: “Exploring the allegoric language with no other than iconic ingénue Little Red Riding Hood. @saintlaurentparis cape and mini dress, @fendioffical”

But the new issue is totally rad. They say: “Exploring the symbology of things, the objectification of personality, the synchronicity of events, the relevance of archetypes, the core of fashion and the value of the best of the season — The Holistic Issue looks to the interconnection of all things.” There’s even an interview with our Numi fave Gabby Bernstein!

Below, Lula (let’s pretend she’s real) and Thorbjørn dish the deets on their fashionably mystical world…
