DJ and Promotor Jodie Harsh has basically made a career out of being fabulous. But, hey even the fiercest drag super-queens have their doubts about whether they’re on the right track sometimes. Cue a visit to a South London psychic called Jane.

Psychic: Jane, South East London (“she’s word-of-mouth only and keeps in on the down-low”)
Rating: * * * *
Price: £10 donation

SO HOW DID YOU AND JANE FIND EACH OTHER?
“My mother visits this psychic once a year, and swears by it. She makes life decisions based on her readings and even put her house on the market this year because Jane said it was a good idea, and the right time. She’s always been spot-on with everything, so I thought I’d give it a go.”

SO WHY NOW?
“I’ve been so crazy busy lately and just wanted to check-in and ensure everything was going in the right direction with my career, my love life, everything really. I wanted to check I was on the right path. I’ve always been curious about who would come through at a reading too – grandparents and such.”

HOW DID THE SESSION GO DOWN?
“It was in at Jane’s home, and she recorded it on cassette tape, which I thought was quite old school! I also recorded it on my phone, which she said was fine. “

SPOOKILY ACCURATE FACTOR – WHAT DID SHE GET RIGHT?
“Pretty much everything. She spent an hour talking about me like she knew me personally, and passed on messages and advice through her spirit guide and my grandparents. She warned me about a contract I need to be very careful of around October / November – someone is going to try to screw me over apparently! My grandparents were even joking with me…my grandfather was poking fun at me and my grandmother apparently pops into parties with me sometimes…she was always such a party animal!”

ANYTHING THAT WAS JUST WAY OFF?
“Some people came through in spirit who I have no idea if I’ve ever met. Perhaps a great grandparent or other family member I don’t remember. She was also talking about my car, and I don’t drive, but perhaps that was a metaphor for something.”

HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU LEFT?
“Totally blown away. I feel like I received some sound advice, and can relax knowing that I am on the right path in my life.”

WHAT’S STAYED WITH YOU THE MOST?
“The whole reading was pretty unforgettable, but definitely the four bedroom house in the country she said I’d be living in one day…! That would be lovely. I can’t imagine ever leaving the big, bad city but who knows what’s around the corner.”
